Services

Aches and pains?

Affecting you job or your daily life?

Get assessed and make sense of your symptoms, learn how to manage and take back your life.

Injury can occur through traumas, such as road traffic collisions and falls, or may develop as a repetative overuse syndrome.

Either way physiotherapy can help.

After orthopaedic surgery and fractures, it is advised to rehabilitate under supervision of a professional to advise on timescales, and appropriate progression of recovery, to maximise your potential.

Common examples of surgeries include hip and knee replacements, ACL reconstruction, shoulder decompression and repairs, etc.

Pick up a knock at training and not able to shake it?

Get assessment and advice on the likely diagnosis, advice on appropriate investigations and imaging, and return to play ASAP.

About Me

My name is Paddy Kidd, and I am a Chartered Physiotherapist living in Desertmartin. I graduated in Physiotherapy at University Of Ulster in 2008.

My career started in the hospital environment, helping those with illness and injury get back on their feet, and progressing to focus on musculoskeletal physiotherapy (treating joint and muscle dysfuntions).

I have been lucky enough to work as team physio with a number of football teams through the years, with 2017 being the highlight along with the Derry Minor team, culminating in an All-Ireland Final at Croke Park.

While I do have an interest in sports injury management, physiotherapy is about much more. It is a science based profession and we help those affected by injury, illness or disability through education, advice and specific home exercise programmes. This is only possible due to our advanced training in anatomy, function and pain science.

What is a Chartered Physiotherapist?

A Chartered Physiotherapist is a university graduate with hospital-based training who has comprehensive knowledge of how the body works, along with specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of muscle and joint pain. A chartered physiotherapist is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, both a union and oversight body which sets out codes of practice, and the scope of the profession.

As I have completed training in massage techniques I will be offering sports massage and general massage for those who just need a little pampering, and to destress in todays busy world.

Please bear in mind this is a straight forward massage and not a physiotherapy consultation.

If you have an injury or specific problem, please book an 'Initial Consultation'
